How does Aids Affect the Immune System?

AIDS is caused by HIV by attacking or killing cells in the body's immune system. The HIV destroys the bodies ability to fight infections and cancers. AIDS isn't the typical cause of death in a person with AIDS, it is actually an infection which takes their life.
